She's here! She's here!!

Savannah made her dramatic arrival Sunday, June 19th at 6:11 am. She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz, and was 20in long. After a long, painful night of labor, we ended with an emergency c-section. She just wanted to make an entrance! We're all doing great. I'll post the whole birth story soon...it's a crazy one! But she's perfect and beautiful. We couldn't be more blessed!! Just a couple sneak peeks of our beautiful baby girl.

Showered with love!

Since I'm about to have my baby, I figured it was due time to post about the baby shower my amazing friends threw for me! :)
A few weeks ago, my very good friends threw me a baby shower. I really wasn't expecting one at all being that this is my third baby and second girl (in the same season as well!), but they kept persisting, so I caved. Ok, I didn't take a lot of persuasion I guess. :) Anyway, the shower was BEAUTIFUL! They had tables set for a full and delicious lunch, a slide-show of the recent maternity pictures taken by Lori Burkman, and of course, the recording of the big nursery reveal! (You can see that here:

It was so fun to spend quality time with good friends and to celebrate the upcoming birth of our next little princess, Savannah Hazel. We are anxious for her arrival! So thank you so much to my amazing friends: Toni Baker, Lori Burkman, Aubrey Peterson, Brittany Richardson, Stephanie Rigtrup, Kristina Wi, and Sara McCarter! You ladies are all the best and I treasure our friendships dearly!
The gift table and beautiful decor!

Sweet Toni filling up the water glasses.

Check out these cakes Toni made! There was a bird theme for the whole shower and for my beautiful nursery! Even the quilt Toni made has a bird motife. So gorgeous!

The beautiful table setting.

A few of the best friends a girl could have! (Kristina, Brittany, & Stephanie)

A new car-seat cover!!! Yay! Thanks Jen!

Seriously, I die! This cake was SOOO good!

Beach pictures

Brittany posted some super cute pictures from our trip to the beach last weekend, so I stole them. :) Glad she brought her camera and was prepared! I love that they're color-coordinated. These kids have a blast together!

Gabe was very daring and went in the freezing, cold water, but Troy wanted nothing to do with it!

Oh what do you do in the summer time!?

This past weekend, Seattle reached a warm 80 degrees! We took advantage and went over to the beach on the Sound. What a fun time! The kids enjoyed exploring for shells and other treasures with Daddy, and I basked in the sun (and have the sunburn to prove it!). Our good friends, the Richardsons,  were there too, so it was fun to have some company and of course the kids LOVE their kids. Their son is Troy's "best friend." At least that's what Troy tells me. :)

Once we got home, the kids wouldn't nap (if they fall asleep for even 5 minutes in the car, nap-time is ruined!), so we turned the sprinkler on and they had a ball! There's nothing like the bliss of a first summer-time run through the sprinklers. It was a great Saturday spent with the kids before baby #3, sweet Savannah, gets here. They definitely are sensing a change, so we're trying to spend as much quality time with them as possible before their world is rocked (and ours for that matter!!).

Erik made us a yummy dinner of steak, chicken, ribs, corn and broccoli to top off the great day. He's such a great husband! I love a man who cooks. :) And the Richardson's joined us for a little dessert. Anyway, all in all a wonderful day! We can't wait for warmer weather so we can do things like this more often.
