One more thing...

My Dad was here in town on a short layover from the airport, so we were able to pick him up and go to breakfast. It was so fun to see him and Brooklyn loved every minute. She loves her Grandpa! Thanks again Dad! Love you! P.S. I'm not sure why the picture is blurry, I must have changed the settings on the camera without knowing it. Ugh.

Big girl life-jacket

Erik and I just purchased a life jacket for Brooklyn to use in Hawaii this June. So we had to try it out in our pool Saturday. Brooklyn doesn't really know what to think of it since she can't move in it. We thought it would be good to use for time outs for that very reason! : ) But she LOVES the water and LOVES to swim, even though the water was a little colder than we wanted. She was shivering, but smiling and laughing.

Also, Erik got Brooklyn dressed Saturday and she looked very cute, so I have to post this picture. Notice the 3 different kinds of stripes. He said they match because they all have the same colors. Ha ha!

And finally, Brooklyn got her first (and hopefully her last) shiner on her eye. Poor baby. She fell in the bathtub. It's on her right eye. It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but it's definitely purple and blue. Poor thing.

It's a BOY!!! Everything looks great and I'm still feeling great. Can't wait to meet our little man! Here's the "money" shot.

More Easter Pictures

Happy (late) Easter!

We didn't get any Easter pictures taken on Sunday of Brooklyn because we got back into town that morning and had to rush off to church and then we forgot when we got home. So we went to the park yesterday and took a few of Brooklyn in her Easter dress. So here they are! Disclaimer: we are NOT professional photographers, but I think we did a pretty good job for a couple of amateurs!

"I have a grenade in my mouth! Watch out!"

So, we have this "grenade" smooshy toy that Brooklyn loves. Actually, it's one of those squishy balls you get when you give blood. Anyway, Brooklyn was carrying it around in her mouth the other day by the pin. I thought it was so funny so I had to post these pictures. She's mad in the picture because I'm making her hold still. : )

Do these look like enough?

So Erik has picked up a bad habit. He wants to buy every single cute little swimming suit he sees for Brooklyn. I guess I'm guilty too, but it's mostly him. : ) Anyway, she should be set for Hawaii. She has one for every day now. I'm sure this won't be the last of them either. Ha ha! She is going to be so stylin'! Oh, and she even has sunglasses to match her yellow suit, although she doesn't seem to want to keep them on, so they may be a lost cause.

The fireplace

Brooklyn LOVES to play with the fireplace screen. She has also started putting her hands IN the fireplace, so her hands get all black. Well, I have started slapping her hand and saying, "No, no," when she does it, but what does she do? She laughs. What a little pill. She thinks it's so funny when I say "no" and smack her little hand. Oh boy. I'm in for it.

Brooklyn is 8 months old!

Brooklyn is 8 months old today. I tried to get a picture with her sitting nicely next to the sign I made, but that didn't happen. She REALLY wanted that paper!!

P.S. I made that bow today, isn't it cute? I'm proud of myself. : )

1st Belly picture

So I've been a total slacker taking pictures of my belly with this pregnancy. I decided I'd better start sometime. I was so good with Brooklyn, I don't want the new baby to feel left out. : ) So here is a 17 week photo. The quality isn't great but it will work. The first picture I took I noticed how dirty my mirror was, so I cleaned it and re-took the picture. Anyway, here it is! No laughing please about how huge I already am.

Oh boy, we have a climber

As I was ironing today, Brooklyn was just crawling everywhere as usual. Well, I look behind me and she is underneath our little hutch thing. So I had to catch it on video. She then proceeded to climb up into it. Little stinker. She is everywhere!

More Boise pictures

A week in B-town

Brooklyn and I went to Boise this past week for a few days. I won't bore you with all the details, but we had a great time seeing family and a few friends. We were able to see my nephew baptized and my new neice Natalie Brooke. We REALLY missed Erik/Daddy, and he REALLY missed us, especially Brooklyn. It's good to be back home and to have Brooklyn sleeping well again. Brooklyn also loved the huge expanse of carpet to crawl around on at Grandma and Grandpa's. And because of that, she has gotten really fast. She's gotten quite a bit more stable standing up too. She also learned how to wave and found her tongue (which she LOVES to stick out now). It's a new adventure every day with her! Here are a few pictures from our trip. She wanted to grab those little babies SO badly. I had to hold her arms down. Silly goose. Brooklyn also got her first guitar lesson from Grandpa Paternoster. And her first ride in a real swing with Grandpa Hill.
