28 1/2 weeks

I figured it was high time I start taking pictures of my protruding belly with this pregnancy. I was consistent with Brooklyn, but have been totally slacking with this baby boy. Poor thing is already getting the shaft. Anyway, I totally popped the last couple of weeks. At my last appointment a month ago I was measuring small (1 week behind) and at the appointment this week I am measuring 1 week ahead! This baby and I definitely had a growth spurt. Still feeling great, and can't wait to meet this little guy! I am starting to stress about having everything ready though. There just isn't enough time left it seems!

Also, since I'm posting, I put Brooklyn's hair in pig-tails yesterday for the first time. It was a big stretch, but they surprisingly stayed in all day! She kind of looked like a boy with pig-tails though. Haha

"Anything you can do, I can do better!"

Brooklyn loves to mimic us, especially Erik (as I'm sure every baby does). I finally got this on video. She thinks she has to be louder than he is. She has been doing this for a few months now and we still think it's hilarious. I have to add, this isn't as loud as it usually is, and it usually goes on for 5 minutes, but Brooklyn was a little distracted by the camera.

Trip to Boise

We were in Boise this past weekend and had a blast! It seems like we never have enough time to see everyone though, which stinks. Needless to say, we were EXHAUSTED when we got home. Brooklyn slept a TON Monday and Tuesday and I think she has finally gotten caught up. Erik got a bad cold, poor guy, but we haven't gotten it yet, knock on wood.

I got in Wednesday and hung out with my family most the day and Thursday. Erik came Friday morning and we spent the rest of the time with his family and the Balls and Waters since we'll be seeing my family in a few weeks in Hawaii. This was most likely the last time we would be back to Boise until Thanksgiving since I'll be having the baby in August. Anyhoo, here are a few pictures from our trip. I'm sure Erik will add some more later.

Sweet kisses

Brooklyn LOVES to give kisses, especially to your bare tummy, legs, arms, etc. She will pull up your shirt to do so. Well, yesterday she found her OWN leg and proceeded to give kisses for about 5 minutes. It was so funny. Here's a little video.

Drive-by

My parents stopped by last week while on their way home from visiting my sister in Corvallis. Ok, Seattle really isn't "on the way" from Corvallis, but it was a somewhat short detour. Brooklyn had a blast playing with them and we had fun seeing them for a little while. They even brought the rest of our meat down! Thanks guys! So now we have a freezer packed to the brim with quality meat. Score! Brooklyn was so funny when she woke up from her nap, she let my mom hold her for like 20 minutes, which she NEVER does because she is such a wiggle worm. She also took an hour-and-a-half nap that day, which is also very unlike her. I have tried to get her to nap like that all week but to no avail. Ugh.
