Our Beautiful Kids!

Brooklyn just looked too cute not to capture on film the other night. Our Baby girl is growing too quickly!

Here are a few shots of troy trying to gather as many toys as he can before his big sister comes and snatches them out of his hand. He definitely has the role of victim down pat though. He always cries as loud as possible and looks up at momma as if to say "aren't you going to do anything."

Marc- I am FULLY confident in your ability to make these shelves...and they'll probably end up much cuter than mine! The bead board is the only expensive part (it's $20 for a 4'wide x 8' tall piece) But I had leftover pieces from putting beadboard up in my bathroom/entryway. I THINK you can purchase it for about $10 (maybe less) in a smaller sheet...like 3 ft tall/4 feet wide? THEN you could make TWO of the smaller sized shelves like the one I just posted a pic of. CUTE CUTE. THe rest of the wood totals to about $7 (if that, I returned a leftover piece yesterday.) for the smaller shelf I used 1x3's of pine (they come in 4, 6 and 8 ft pieces) for $1.75-$3 each, depending on the length you purchase. You could even use a hand saw if you don't have a power saw. The wood is soft and would be easy to cut) the dowels I used are 4' long and 7/8ths inch in diameter. I wish I had gone one size larger for a sturdier shelf, but the 7/8ths is the perfect size for the smaller shelf AND it's only 1.29 per dowel and it took 3 dowels for the smaller shelf. CHEAP project. I used a 1" x 4" for the top. I built the frame first, then cut the dowels about 1/2 in longer than the shelves. I used a 7/8ths inch drill bit to drill the holes 2 inches apart above each of the shelves. I put the frame together (glued dowels into place, then used a nail gun to tack the shelves into place and hold the frame together. THEN I flipped it over, traced the perimeter on the bead board, and used a circular saw to cut the bead board. you can have the guys at lowes cut the board to size for you on thier saw for 25 cents a cut (free if you wear a low cut shirt and give a nice smile, wink!) and then nail the whole piece to the back with the nail gun too!

Ok I should have emailed this to you, but now that i've already typed it up i'm just gonna push post!
